R'oujie Wellness Book Club

  • Madison Public Library - Hawthorne Branch 2707 East Washington Avenue Madison, WI, 53704 United States (map)

Welcome to our book club! In our January meetup, We are diving into the captivating world of "Braiding Sweetgrass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer. This book takes us on a journey through beautiful storytelling, mixing nature, science, and Native American wisdom.

At our gathering, we’ll chat about the book, share our thoughts, and explore the ideas, messages and realizations together. It's a chance to discuss the interesting things we've discovered, learn from each other's perspectives and be intentional about what we want to take with us and live by from the offering of the book.

And here's the best part – our book club is absolutely FREE! No membership fees, no monthly costs - just pure enjoyment of literature and shared wisdom.

Our goal is to understand and form a deeper level of respect for how nature connects us, just like the strands in a braid, and learn more about indigenous culture and their sacrifices. We're excited to have you join us as we explore the wonders of this book and share our love for reading and learning together!
